21 Day Racial Equity Challenge

Starting August 10, the Schenectady community will engage in a 21 day challenge to try to build anti-racist habits. The reason for 21 day journey is that experts say that it takes three weeks to learn a new habit. Certainly, after centuries of slavery, Jim Crow, and just a general bias against people of color, it is the least we can do as both Christians and American citizens.

Over the next three weeks, those who participate will be asked to engage in about 15 minutes each day for either a daily reading, questions, or even to watch a short video. The hope of the organizers is that a conversation will ensue throughout our community and positive steps will be taken to make a more just society for everyone.
