Woodberry Crossing

This year’s trip to Woodberry will be August 6 - 10! See Steve Parsons for more info.

Woodberry Crossing is a non-profit organization located in Northern Baltimore County. It has been in operation since 1998 offering quality programs free of charge to children from some of the poorest neighborhoods in Baltimore City. Woodberry gives urban children, youth and families the opportunity to broaden their vision and understanding of life thorough meeting and interacting with a variety of people, animals and the natural world.

Each year Trinity Presbyterian Church makes a pilgrimage to Woodberry Crossing. The goal of the mission is to work together as a group to help Woodberry. Building Structures, Building Relationships and Building Faith. These are the goal of this mission.

Building Structures

Everyone works together from the smallest of children to the oldest of grandparents. Over the years Trinity Presbyterian Church has built and refurbished many structures at Woodberry. From Chicken coups, to Windmills, to pond docks, to fence mends to brand new bird houses. There are projects for everyone at every ability. Some people find there ability to be natural leaders. Some get to teach children new things. Some children teach themselves and others new things.

Building Relationships.

Yup. We get it. Building and fixing things seem like the priority when planning. But the relationships are the things that really get built. Friendships forged for a life time working with people you barely or never new. And strengthened relationships with those that you’ve known for years. It all happens here.

Building Faith.

With the distractions of life it’s easy to let your faith take a back seat. Sometimes it’s good to take a brake. Go to a place where you can really focus on the heart of your faith. A mission trip to Woodberry crossing serves that for many members of Trinity.
