At Trinity God's call to mission is an important part of our church life. We have supported many mission causes as the Spirit has directed us. Some are ongoing while others may be seasonal, or addressed as needs arise. New opportunities for serving God by serving others are continuously being discovered.
Current Mission Opportunities:
† Give Warmth: through the month of February the Jail Ministry committee will be collecting funds to purchase warm underclothing and sweatshirts for the women at the Schenectady County Jail. As many of you already know, the women sleep in beds attached to the cinder block walls at the jail. It is always quite cold and the warm clothing we can provide to those in need is very much appreciated. When we held this fund-raiser two years ago the response was overwhelming and we were able to purchase enough clothing for two years. We very much appreciate your continued support for this ministry. Envelopes have been provided for you donations if you wish to contribute.
† Donations of School Supplies: in an effort to be more specific in our collection of school supplies for needy students, we have polled educators in our congregation to present a more up-to-date list. Based on input received we have listed the schools with students in need. The list will most likely change every so often as needs arise.
